Actor Rajesh Dhruva recently began learning to play the chenda melam, a traditional percussion instrument of Kerala, which took him 15 days to master. Rajesh, known for his Kannada film debut in Shri Balaji Photo Studio, is now collaborating with director Sukesh Shetty on the film Peter, centered around the chenda melam. "To authentically portray the role, I decided to learn the basics of playing the chenda. After 15 days of training, I acquired the necessary skills and also underwent weight loss training to resemble a chenda artist," says Rajesh. He emphasizes the integration of folk music into the story to provide a fresh and engaging experience for the audience in today's competitive film industry. Despite his success in movies, Rajesh plans to continue acting on television for stable income until he establishes himself firmly in the film industry.
